A mixed result in Saturday’s double header with the Women’s team winning by a point and the men’s team going down by two points. Credit goes to all the players who had to play in the atrocious heat at Mandurah – the AFL seriously has to look at the scheduling of these matches. Our two sponsored players did us proud with Jess Cameron being one of the best players for the women and Josh Daicos showing some real promise for the men. So there is much to look forward to during the preseason.
Tickets on Sale Monday
Tickets for MCG Games Go On Sale On Monday 6 March at 9:00 am for Collingwood Football Club Members
The AFL have still not released dates for the ticket sales for the Collingwood games against Sydney and Greater Western Sydney. When they are announced CNSW will alert you about getting tickets to be seated with the Magpies supporters. If you wish to purchase tickets you have to be a financial member of Collingwood NSW so don’t forget to renew if you want to be seated with your fellow Pies fans.
What has been announced is that tickets to Collingwood matches at the Melbourne Cricket Ground are on sale on Monday 6 March at 9:00 am for CFC Members and the general public. This will be of importance for those who are planning to go to Melbourne to watch the Magpies play in one of the blockbusters.
We would suggest that if you were planning to attend Round 1 match agains the Western Bulldogs, the ANZAC Day match against Essendon or the 125th anniversary match against Carlton that you hit the Ticketek site tomorrow morning – these matches will sell out. Remember that the Carlton match is a Pies home game so if you have Social Club/Interstate membership you will be seeking an upgrade of your current membership from general admission to reserved. The Dogs match is also a Pies home game so same rules apply.
The ANZAC Day game is a Pies away game so you will need to book this as a member of the general public – your membership won’t cover it. Apparently Essendon have doubled the admission price for ANZAC tickets so expect to pay a bit for this one.
The Ticketek website is http://premier.ticketek.com.
